Childbirth

The Sacred Birth Place provides a home-like setting as a childbirth alternative to a traditional hospital environment. Your midwife will work with you to provide a safe, sensitive and supportive atmosphere for the birth of your child. Our midwives will take the time to give you personalized professional care and to address any issues of particular concern to you.

Prenatal and postpartum appointments are scheduled to allow ample time for exploring the many physical and emotional changes of pregnancy and becoming a new parent. Your partner and children are welcome at all visits. All births at the Sacred Birth Place are attended by a midwife, assistant and doula.

We offer a variety of classes for expectant parents including:

Well-Woman Care

Our licensed midwives provide complete well-woman care in a personalized setting based on the midwifery model. Exams are an opportunity to focus on personal health, values and concerns. Well-woman care includes:

• breast exams education
• pap smears
• family planning & parenting
• hormonal changes
• STD screening

Natural Health Services
